What's the deal, yo?
Name That Autocomplete was first played between Alex Albrecht and Leo Laporte on episode 1 of the NSFW podcast. The game was designed by show hosts Brian Brushwood and Justin Robert Young. It was later adapted for the web by Jim Jatho, and the three currently run the site together.
The game works by pulling autocomplete results for a person's name from Google and sorting them by number of searches. The game also filters through common words that make for bad clues and removes them. A list of the most common clues can be found here, and a list of rejected clues is available here.
